Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating a Ledgex account or otherwise using the app or website (“Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Ledgex.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Ledgex. If you’re using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
3. Account and security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You must promptly notify us of unauthorized use at support@ledgex.app.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or cause risk to other users.
4. License
We grant you a personal, revocable, non-transferable license to use Ledgex in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to reverse engineer, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service.
5. User content
You retain all rights to expense information, receipts, and other content you submit. You grant Ledgex a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely for providing the Service.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not use Ledgex for illegal, fraudulent, or abusive activity.
- Do not upload malicious code or attempt to access accounts without permission.
- Respect the privacy of other users and only share content that you have permission to share.
7. Payments and balances
Ledgex calculates balances for informational purposes only. We do not process actual money transfers or provide financial services. Settlement is between trip members.
8. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third parties such as Firebase, Apple, and Google. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and policies.
9. Feedback
Any feedback or suggestions you provide may be used by Ledgex without obligation to you.
10. Modifications
We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
11. Termination
You may stop using Ledgex at any time and delete your account in-app. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if it is necessary to protect other users.
12. Disclaimers
Ledgex is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy of calculated balances or continuous availability of the Service.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Ledgex and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Ledgex harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
